Great start and finish to my season

Post by Gherner84 » November 16th, 2023, 6:36 pm

Just the short version of the story. Hunted all bow season and saw lots of bucks, but always just out of range. Opening morning of rifle season the first buck stands up from his bed 140yds out and I dropped him with my 6.5 Grendel AR then a few minutes later I dropped the doe at about the same distance. Morning of day 2 I sat til 9 with not much action, then buck number 2 walks out of the brush at 175yds and I whacked him. He only ran about 20yds. I put a lot of time in, but it was worth it.

You're going to have good vittles for a while after that season Bud. thumbs_up
